1 ian. 2018 · it is correct that windows 10 32bit only recognizes 4GB of ram. I currently have 16GB and just saw the limitation if that is correct.
Even a 32-bits operating system, allocating memory in pages of 4K, and assuming that it stores the page number in a 32-bit integer, can easily handle 4GB x 4K = 16TB. Per-application, the byte addressing limit for a 32-bits register is 4GB.

The changes will take effect after you restart your PC. This setting allows Windows to allocate RAM as needed to ensure programs run as smoothly as possible.
According to this guide, you can use PAE to allow more than 4 GB of RAM to be used by a 32 Bit OS. But i am not sure Windows 10 still supports PAE and more than that, is does not make any sense to struggle with a 32 Bit OS in 2015, when all PCs are 64 Bit.
