So when I use google chrome it instead uses Yahoo. I’ve checked and my google chrome is my default browser. I’ve also uninstalled chrome which has worked before but now it’s not. Yahoo keeps coming back even when I get rid of it.

Yahoo search has hijacked Chrome, no unusual extensions running and yahoo has been removed from search in settings. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
7 dec. 2021 · To remove Yahoo search from Chrome, go to Settings > Search Engine > Manage Search Engines. Set a different search engine like Google or DuckDuckGo as the default, and in the options for Yahoo, click "Remove From List" to delete it from Chrome entirely.

Google chrome uses Yahoo and I don't know why. Where you would normally see the Google G or secure/unsecure symbols, there is the Yahoo icon. I will search something up and I will get results on Yahoo. I don't even have Yahoo installed. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?
