The option to suggest a strong password isn't there, and even right-clicking the password field doesn't bring it up. Why the hell would Google's own platform not offer a password generation for itself?!

So I'm proactively trying to make more secure passwords and expected Chrome to offer to generate and offer to save a password for me when changing my Google account password but it does neither and I have tried on windows and on IOS.
Yahoo search has hijacked Chrome, no unusual extensions running and yahoo has been removed from search in settings. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

7 dec. 2021 · To remove Yahoo search from Chrome, go to Settings > Search Engine > Manage Search Engines. Set a different search engine like Google or DuckDuckGo as the default, and in the options for Yahoo, click "Remove From List" to delete it from Chrome entirely.
