16 mai 2021 · I've built the Chromium browser on my Windows from its official source code by following this documentation. I made some changes and executed my first build and ran into some errors. The error are as follows:
There are two ways to handle installation and version management: Install the MSI and leave auto-updates on. Implications to consider: The installations will auto-update themselves, so the MSI you use to deploy will eventually not work for repairs and over-installs. You'll need to get the latest MSI. Updates are performed silently, and occur often.
To debug all of Chrome, install Microsoft's Child Process Debugging Power Tool. You will also need to run Visual Studio as administrator, or it will silently fail to attach to some of Chrome's child processes.
Download Chromium. You can test Chrome builds or Chromium builds. Chrome builds have the most infrastructure for analyzing crashes and reporting bugs. They also auto-update as new releases occur, which makes them a good choice for most uses. Chrome Canary is available for Windows and Mac and autoupdates daily.
5 apr. 2024 · occurs when your environment fails to set up the Chromium browser when installing Puppeteer. To solve the error, set the PUPPETEER_SKIP_DOWNLOAD environment variable to true and rerun the installation command.
17 ian. 2013 · As stated by Diago, you can download binary releases via the chromium-browser-snapshots repository. Combine this with a quick check of which version_number you need at omahaproxy, and you get a nice direct link to your desired "stable release" without accessing the slow snapshot lister website.
26 dec. 2020 · Just right-click the “chrome” executable, then click “Pin to taskbar” or “Create shortcut.” And that’s it! You now have the latest build of Chromium running on your PC. Chromium doesn’t auto-update, so you’ll need to do so manually by going to that download link mentioned earlier in this guide.
