Even fresh installed chrome, the search bar will be broken after sync. I had to switch to firefox cent browser ...etc. Google search can't find any useful information at all. Even google's own community forum. But I solved it today in an unexpectedly simple way...
Since a week ago, my search bar has stopped working for some reason. When I click on it, the mouse cursor has a loading symbol for a second and then goes away. Nothing else happens. Typing in the start menu does nothing as well.
Reply. lolsee2 • 10 mo. ago • Edited 8 mo. ago. Right click on start menu open powershell and paste the below. restart laptop and check again. If right clicking does not show any option , do browse to C:\windows\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe.
I noticed today that my search bar wasn't working for some reason. I decided to troubleshoot the issue, then it says it got the wrong permissions for the Windows-Search- Directories. I have tried searching on this issue, but there isn't much I could find. Best regards!
Hi, search function doesn't seem to be working for me- as in I type something into the bar, press enter, and nothing happens. There doesn't seem to be any way to manually click to make the search work either. Any suggestions? Thanks! This is on desktop on Chrome.
So, in September, i had a windows update and when i restarted my pc, the search bar didn't open. Idk why was that happening. I tried it again, and it loads, but a few second later it crashes.
Windows 10 search bar not working. Open | Windows. When I click on the search bar nothing pops up and just acts like it wasn't clicked on. This is really annoying as I use the search bar a lot. Looking for fix.
