Even fresh installed chrome, the search bar will be broken after sync. I had to switch to firefox cent browser ...etc. Google search can't find any useful information at all. Even google's own community forum. But I solved it today in an unexpectedly simple way...
You can turn off chrome sign-in requirement and choose an offline/local account instead and you still can use chrome and your accounts. here is how go to settings, go to sync and google services, toggle off Allow chrome sign-in, restart chrome.
Issue: typing search words in the URL will not load fully the search results for what I type. (E.g. type in "Batman" and I only get one result while the page loads and continues to try to load but never does).
I was able to fix the issue by resetting the Chrome however since then Address bar doesn't search anything anymore and instead opens google.com. Because of the Chrome Sync feature, this happens on my Pc as well as on my mac.
