17 aug. 2023 · There's an open ticket on it here: https://github.com/ultrafunkamsterdam/undetected-chromedriver/issues/1477. Until the fix is available, you can use SeleniumBase 's UC Mode as an alternative, which has a slightly modified version of undetected-chromedriver.
I suspect that you are NOT getting the proper recovery version. We have discovered and reported some issues in the Recovery system caused by HP's use of the same "14a" for different models. When you enter recovery mode on your Chromebook, it detects your model and displays the identification code. It will say, "For this Chromebook enter ..."
