I've been facing this problem for a few months now where all of my Chrome tabs will randomly close and when I reopen it, Yahoo is the new default browser. I know how to fix it, but the problem is that it's been more frequent now.
If Windows go into Settings, Apps, Default Apps, Google Chrome, click the "Set Default" button at the top. If this doesn't solve your problem, go back into Default Apps and set Microsoft Edge to be the default browser and then go right to Google Chrome and click Set Default - that just might get it 'un-stuck" for you.
