Most development is done on Ubuntu (Chromium's build infrastructure currently runs 22.04, Jammy Jellyfish). There are some instructions for other distros below, but they are mostly unsupported, but installation instructions can be found in Docker.
21 sept. 2019 · I found the answer to my question: To do this, we will run Chromium in Kiosk mode. First, install chromium and xorg: sudo apt update sudo apt install chromium-browser xorg. Now, you can start Chromium in kiosk mode with this command: startx /usr/bin/chromium-browser —-kiosk <website>.
At the bottom of the file add: Obviously change "http://google.com" to the page of your choice (or not). This change will not affect existing firefox profiles for existing users. You can reset all users home pages with. change "/home/*" to "~user_name" for a single user.

3 apr. 2018 · For this to work, you need to specify default page in browser configuration and That would do. But doing same thing from command-line would require you enter default page parameter every time you invoke the command.

Building the ubuntu way. The ubuntu package provides a get-orig-source target that can do branch caching. Use this to produce your orig.tar.gz: bzr branch lp:chromium-browser. mkdir upstream. cd chromium-browser. ./debian/rules get-orig-source LOCAL_BRANCH=../upstream/chromium-browser.svn. This will give you a fresh snapshot.
