7 sept. 2017 · If you need to print a page to PDF using Chrome (or Edge), without header and footer, there is an additional command line option: --no-pdf-header-footer . Another option --print-to-pdf-no-header can still be used, though it is now deprecated.
PDF files contain many byte offsets that have to be kept correct or the file won't be valid. The template makes this easier by replacing the byte offsets with certain keywords.
16 oct. 2020 · The problem is that some webpages have banners and other elements that overlay the text on the printed pages. One solution offered in the thread cited above was to use Chrome's developer tools to set CSS rendering to "Screen."

14 oct. 2010 · To generate a preview that most closely resembles what will be printed, Chrome will generate a PDF document to be sent to the printer and display it as the preview. Chrome will leverage the existing PDF plugin it ships with to render the PDF to screen.
