I have a number of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable and I would like to know which ones are safe to remove, because there are actually more than 10 installed on my computers.

Please do not uninstall any of those C++ Redistributable packages, every one of those are required on your PC
28 aug. 2018 · You can uninstall them, however some applications might need them installed to run correctly. These applications will usually let you know if they depend on the C++ packages when you try to install/run them.

26 sept. 2022 · My advice is to leave these runtimes in place - they are not that costly as regarding disk space. If you uninstall one runtime, you might find out much later that some program will not work any more.
