  1. Google Chrome will limit ad blockers starting June 2024. Google's sales pitch for Manifest V3 is that, by limiting extensions, the browser can be lighter on resources, and Google can protect your privacy from extension developers.

  5. The deal is just to have Google as the default search engine - like when you open a new tab, or type in the address bar. You can also set FF to use pretty much any other search engine instead, in which case Google gets nothing from you. This isn't some special deal just for Google either.
