31 dec. 2020 · With the release of Windows 8, Microsoft wanted everyone to use the Start screen instead of the Start button and the Start menu found in previous versions of Windows. However, there are a few ways to mimic the Windows Start button and Start menu combination.
8 mai 2014 · One of the Windows 8 updates may have caused a conflict with Classic Shell. I uninstalled Classic Shell and the Start button works again. One possible clue is if you drag your taskbar to the side of the screen, and the Start button starts working again.
1 mai 2014 · Drag the Taskbar to another location, either to either side of the desktop, or to the top. Click the Start button to make sure it works and then reboot. When the machine boots to the desktop again, drag the taskbar back to the bottom again. Should work.

21 ian. 2024 · If the Start Menu is missing completely, navigate Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and ensure that the taskbar is not hidden. If the menu remains unresponsive, restart Windows Explorer, update Windows, re-register all Windows Store apps, repair the damaged system files, or reset the PC settings.
18 apr. 2015 · Windows 8 Start button not working. Wnt to PC settings, click on ease of access menus, select Keyboard icon and turn off filter keys. Resolved!
31 aug. 2013 · windows 8 start button not working. I cannot use the short cuts by using windows key+other keys because the windows key doesn't work, and I also cannot turn the screen into start menu for the same reason. It was okay before, but it's happening all the sudden.
