Lechero is successfully manipulated into enlisting T-Bag as his spy, increasing T-Bag's position in the prison hierarchy. T-Bag then gains the trust of Lechero's head drug smuggler and dealer, Nieves, only to then kill him by suffocating him with a plastic bag.
Season 5. T-Bag returns in the revival season, set seven years after the events of The Final Break. He begins the season still incarcerated at Fox River, but is soon released due to an unknown benefactor. While receiving his possessions back, he receives an envelope that contains a picture of Michael, apparently alive in Ogygia Prison in Yemen.
Simple answer (TLDR) is no. I felt sorry in s4 when T-Bag gave the speech in the Gate Corporation (when he was pretending to work as Cole Pffeifer). I though then, T-Bag had so much potential (intelligence, communication skills) wasted because of his bad childhood (and of course his crimes).

How was t-bag allowed out of prison at the start of season 5. He was a murderer/rap1st and he somehow got out of prison?
T-Bag runs into Sara, and tries to warn her about A&W and Van Gogh, two of Poseidon's henchmen, who may be following her trail. A&W and Van Gogh hack into her phone, later discovered by Sara, who deduces Kellerman's involvement. She asks T-Bag to investigate Kellerman.
Meanwhile, T-Bag confronts Kellerman, who denies being Poseidon, an unknown rogue CIA agent criticizing the U.S. foreign policy. They are attacked by Poseidon operatives. T-Bag manages to escape; but Kellerman is killed by Van Gogh, who starts doubting Poseidon's cause.
