16 iun. 2023 · Go to Menu > Extensions > Manage Extensions (or chrome://extensions/) to see if you see there any extensions enabled. Install an extension that does have a toolbar icon (any random one, for example Google Translate) and see if the button appears.

2 apr. 2016 · My Chrome extension icons have gone missing as in the pic: I've browsed the profile folder and the .png files are missing. A quick way to fix this would be to force Chrome to reinstall the extensions.
If you're sure that the extension doesn't show up in Settings>Extensions: The default location for all Chrome extensions is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions
22 mai 2014 · The manifest key that controls the icon in chrome://extensions/ is icons.48. So, make sure your file "icon48.png" exists and is in the right place. Also, documentation mentions: You may provide icons of any other size you wish, and Chrome will attempt to use the best size where appropriate.
