Step 2. boot the computer with the XP disk in the drive & watch for the prompt – “Press any key to boot from CD….” Step 3. perform the XP installation as you would with an IDE/PATA hard drive.
6 ian. 2023 · Windows XP does not support SATA out of the box. You either need to select "Compatibility Mode" for your hard drives in the BIOS (Which will make them act as IDE drives), or install SATA drivers manually.
