6 iul. 2018 · I've found if I remove the 48x48 option from my manifest, or alternatively, provide a 128x128 img for 48x48 option (ie: "48": "img/icon128.png",) then this results in a nice clear image.

14 dec. 2013 · You should always provide a 128x128 icon; it's used during installation and by the Chrome Web Store. Extensions should also provide a 48x48 icon, which is used in the extensions management page (chrome://extensions).

16 apr. 2012 · In my knowledge, there is no way to change the profile icon in Google Chrome. However, you can sync your Google account and it will pull your Google+ profile icon as your chrome profile icon. If you want, you can sync two of your Google accounts having profile pictures you'd like.
