18 apr. 2024 · Clicking it simply opens the Movies & TV app and that's it, just the home screen. I have reinstalled many times, repaired, reset, ran powershell commands for fix, still nothing. Did they unplug support for it as a video opening app and fully made it into a movie buying app?

12 nov. 2023 · I can't use the Windows Films and TV app to open videos stored on my PC, the option to use as a default app is gone. I've re-installed the app but this hasn't fixed it. Not sure how long it's been like this as I don't play videos very often.
