I have people i can talk to and i still often talk to chatGPT about things I'm struggling with, even if its something i also spoke to a real person about. There's nothing pathetic about it. ChatGPT has given me some really good advice and helped me smooth things out by giving me another perspective when i wasn't getting along well with my roommate

Someone is definitely gonna use this. The scarry thing is how easily you could use this tech to do something like chat casually with someone on a discord server for 2 years before asking for money. We are entering an age where you don't know if anyone you talk to online is a human.
