11 iul. 2014 · 1. I want something like this: %Program files%\Google\Chrome\chrome.exe http://example.com --no-controls --box-mode. or even just without the address bar (i.e. with controls). This picture is close to what I'd like, although it has an address bar. An alternative would be starting chrome like a popup window. Thanks.

2 nov. 2010 · As an alternative, go to Wrench->Options and set Home Page to "Use the New Tab page" and On startup to "Open the home page". Instead of getting a blank page, you'll get clickable icons for your most often visited websites.
Setting the home page in both the Preferences file and policy means that the home page in policy will be the one that Chromium / Google Chrome uses, and the user will not be able to edit it.
The Basics tab allows you to configure the following: The page Chromium will display when you open the browser. The web page selected as the home page. To show or hide the home page button in the toolbar. The search engine used in the Omnibox. To set Chromium as your default browser.
Experimenting with the New Tab Page. It is relatively easy to make edits to the new tab page as its frontend is constructed with HTML. To edit the HTML, look for browser\resources\new_tab.html - the backend for this page is defined in browser\dom_ui\new_tab_ui.cc.
