Last, in the search toolbar of Firefox, you will see a small green “+” icon. Click the icon, click “Add Google”, and then you can add Google to your search engine list in Firefox now.

31 aug. 2012 · What I at the end found was that for some reason, after a fresh Mint 14 install, Firefox defaulted to be in private browsing mode. After returning Firefox to it's normal mode, the "add 'search engine' reappeared whenever I chose a another on Mints search engine page.
