11 feb. 2023 · The default search engine is the one you set. Those are just additionals you can choose from. It's not malware either, it's Google being user-friendly... There's an extension for that, named Don't add custom search engines.
Select Settings and more > Settings . Select Privacy, search, and services. Scroll all the way down to the Services section and select Address bar and search. Choose your preferred search engine from the Search engine used in the address bar menu.
