11 nov. 2014 · Windows 10 clean install can't find a valid partition. ASROCK 770 Extreme 3, 8GB's Memory, AM3+ 2-core cpu. On two separate install attempts I got to partition screen on both a WD 80GB drive AND a WD 160GB drive, deleted partition and created a new partition and then formatted them.

8 oct. 2020 · My problem is that the Windows installer won't seem to create any sort of bootable setup on /dev/sda. I've tried running the Windows installer two ways: Whole disk unallocated. Boot the installer in UEFI mode. Delete all partitions in sda, select "Unallocated Space" in the Windows installer, and click "next" as described in this post.
31 dec. 2023 · Experimentally, it is evident the Windows 10/11 installers are aware of the existing UEFI and WinRE partitions. Logically, you don't need a second partition (except in a special case), because one UEFI partition is supposed to manage multiple boot options. So, the installer just doesn't make it.
