20 feb. 2020 · The quickest way to convert the HEIC files to JPEGS would be to import them all at once into a new, empty Photos Library and then select them all together in Photos and use the command "File > Export > Export ... Photos". In the Export dialog select "Kind > JPEG" and Original Size and a High or Maximum Quality.
10 aug. 2019 · How to Download iCloud Photos as .JPG instead of .HEIC. In trying to download my photos from iCloud, the only option I get is the .HEIC format. Unfortunately, my copy of Photoshop doesn't recognize this format so I can't even reformat them in Photoshop.
25 oct. 2023 · My photos are automatically uploaded to iCloud from my phone. When I download from iCloud they are HEIC files instead of JPEG as they used to be. This is not convenient to then use the photo in other ways. Why did this change and how can it be changed back to download as JPEG?
17 mar. 2020 · How to avoid taking photos in the HEIC format on iPhone. If you never plan to use images in HEIC format, you can tell your iPhone to capture photos as JPEG files instead. This doesn’t convert existing photos on your iPhone but it affects new pictures you take instead.
The iCloud for Windows app displays all your iCloud photos (even if you haven't downloaded them) under C:\Users\username\Pictures\iCloud Photos\Photos. The problem is that it shows all my iCloud photos as HEIC files, so that means I can only download them as HEIC.
